LAST DAY

This subject has seemed to us very enriching because we have learned by doing and playing. We have known another type of methodology that is more active and dynamic, and this makes it more  motivating. We have practise all the language skills through the projects and videos. In projects we have worked reading and writing, and also in the presentation we have worked speaking. Moreover, we have done listenings through the videos of each unit, and then we played kahoot to check if we have understood the video. But, one thing that could be improved is the time to do the projects. Some of them can be done it only in one week, but with others which are more elaborated  we haven’t had enough time to do them better. For example in last project we had only 2 days to do the video about our schools, and we had to do it very quickly and omitting some things. Finally, we can say that we are very happy with the results obtained in these classes. Although it has been a short time...

Quiz 2!

Today we have examined units 4, 5 and 6. Also, the teacher has shown the result of the survey we conducted at the beginning of the course. Finally, we have corrected the level test we did at the beginning of the course, maybe this week we will do another similar test to see if we have improved during these months.

Presentation about our schools!

Good morning! Today we have put in class the video about our schools, and how they have changed around the years. The video explains the main characteristics of each school,and the how they have evolved to nowadays. Finally, we have chosen the school that we considered the best. Also, we want to reconize the work done by group 8, because they have made a great video, in which they treated many interesting things and in a very creative way. Good job!

We've been working on the last project today. We have recorded our voices and looked for pictures of our childhood to include them. In addition, in the video we have made a description of the schools and the changes that have suffered in recent years and we have decided that the best school of the five is Eugeni D'Ors (Elche) because it has changed the methodology, materials and some facilities. Last unit!

Today we have been seeing the last unit of grammar: verbs with-ing, infinitive and phrasal verbs.  We have practiced this grammar with exercises, although it has proved difficult. At the end of the class we have been watching this video:

Scavenger hunt!

Today the teacher has explained the passive voice, and to understand it better we have played a game called: Scavenger hunt . In this game we have runed our faculty in search of clues that will help us to guess books and movies.  It has been a very fun game ! At the end of the class, we saw a very emotional video and made a kahoot to see if we had understood.

Exhibitions of project number four

Today we have been seeing all the exhibitions of project number four about flash-cards. Although we have liked all of them, we would like to highlight the group four exhibition for therir creativity and originality. In addition, they have created a very entertaining Kahoot. Creating Flashcards and Concept Maps!

In this link you can find our work, that is composed by the concept map and flashcards related with the different sports. We have chosen the sports and we have organised the topic in four groups: Ball, racket, water and others. Today, we have started the class working with our partner, and we have corrected the exercices that we had to have done for today. Then, we have seen a video related with the trilingual system in Catalonia schools. Moreover, as every day we see a video, we have played kahoot. Finally, we have started the project number four. We have chosen the topic and how we are going to work it.

Day in pairs!

Today the teacher has put us in pairs so that we try to help ourselves and not speak Spanish .  In this class we have been working the relative clauses and later, we have seen a video titled: The benefists of a bilingual brain.  In addition, we have done a kahoot with questions about the video and the teacher has explained concepts such as: semi - bilingual, passive bilingual, compound/dominant bilingual, coordinate, balanced and ambilingual.

In this project we have done a survey on the methodology of English language learning in schools. For this, we have equated 59 parents of children in primary education. The survey we conducted was as follows: Methodology in english learning                      Once the survey is completed, we compare the answers and make the following powerpoint to expose it to our class. The link to the powerpoint is as follows:  PowerPoint Finally, one of the expositions that we liked the most was the group 8 because they explained things in an original way and the design was beautiful.

Digital Storytelling!

In this practice we have been modifying a traditional fairy tale, to achieve an inclusive classroom, where children don’t discriminate others for their little differences.   So, we have made a story based on “The little mouse”, but we have changed the main character to work the inclusive education. This story it’s about a little mouse who have a physical disability, but she has a dream that is get marry. In the story appears some characters which discriminate the little mouse only because she hasn’t got one of her legs.  Therefore, this story talks about the discrimination that do some people to others, and the pain and sadness that it is caused to persons who has any disability. But, fortunately, there are many people who know that everybody  are equals and they see the disability, only like a word, but never like a impediment.

Knowing the senses!

Today, we have been studing the diferents senses, and adding some vocabulary related with senses. We have been working different adjectives related to the senses, and we have to group them and learn them.   Later, each member of the group chose a sense and we started to play! The members of the team who had the sense of sight, did a kahoot. The person who had the sense of hearing, had to cover her eyes and indentify the sounds. Finally the person who chose the touch, had to indentify different textures.

Designing a Poster!

In this project we are going to search some information about the education in Denmark, to know better how works the school system. We have been searching information about this country and its school system to create our poster. Firts of all, we have found information about the country to know better the context. Then, we have search information about the school stages, holidays, the type of education, and some interesting curiosities.
